چکیده

Persisting dizziness and balance problems after mild-to-moderate traumatic brain injury (mmTBI) may result in considerable disability. The primary aim of this study was to explore the factors associated with dizziness-related disability one year post-injury. Data from 64 participants (mean age 39.4 [SD 13.0] years; 45 [70.3%] women) mmTBI a previous randomised controlled trial were analysed using simple multiple regression analyses (Clinical Trials Registry #NCT01695577). Dizziness Handicap Inventory (12.1, [SD1.6] months) post-injury dependent variable. Demographic injury-related variables, clinical findings, measures symptoms functioning (Rivermead Post-Concussion Symptoms Questionnaire, RPQ; Vertigo Symptom Scale-short form, VSS-SF; Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale; Balance Error Scoring System; High-Level Mobility Assessment Tool, HiMAT) at baseline (3.5 2.1] months post-injury) independent variables. Dizziness-related pre-injury comorbidity, neck pain, higher RPQ, VSS-SF, lower HiMAT scores (adjusted R2 = 0.370, F 6.52 p < 0.001). In conclusion, post-injury, such as increased post-concussion symptom burden, severity, reduced mobility, should be addressed early rehabilitation process reduce patient burden.

METHODS We therefore studied blood pressure for 1 year after discharge from the hospital in 226 consecutive patients (mean age, 73 years) surviving an acute stroke. RESULTS Marked increases (p < 0.001) in mean systolic and mean diastolic blood pressures were seen in two thirds (69%) of ...

In addition, cognitive disorders and their clinical course ...

Autologous fat grafting in postoperative scar tissue has been considered challenging because of the hostile tissue environment. However, in this study, we demonst...
